I'm looking forward to some sleeping this next month, and in order to prepare myself I thought I'd better get organized and shop the Bedhead Sale.
I am unable to sleep without an eye mask, every glimmer of light however subtle jars me to full wakefulness. I like the black cameo version in cotton sateen.
It's been some time since I owned a pair of Bedhead pajamas. The Bobster (Dad) bought me some years and years ago, I wore them so much they wore right out and I had to part with them. I'm not sure why I've waited so long to order new ones.
The prices during the sale are terrific, $69 for a cotton flannel set. Don't forget they are made in the USA!
I bought the leopard set for my daughter.
I think the lounge sets are so pretty and perfect for warm weather.
I should probably tell you that the owner of Bedhead is The Bobster's first cousin, but that's not why I buy her pajamas. I'm far too polite to beg for a family discount. I just think they are cozy and beautiful, and the fact that they are made in Los Angeles seals the deal!
How about you, planning to dress for some hibernation this winter?
xoxDani
Oh boy, they are amazing, I buy a pair from Victoria's Secret every year but they bobble after one wash, the Eiffel tower ones are just fab, as is the eye mask, I can't sleep without one either.
ReplyDeleteThe prints from VS are so cute, but the flannel is thin and falls apart fast. Try the Bedheads, they're amazing.
DeleteIt's the flannel, it's good quality.
DeleteOne day I want to live in pj's like my heroes Nick Nolte an Hugh Hefner.
ReplyDeleteI'm already there, Tabs! (minus the occasional insanity and bunny girls).
DeleteTabs and Sulky LOL Nick Nolte!
DeleteNever ever wear these outside the home. I know you wouldn't, but it is shocking to see slobby multitudes that do. Worse than sweatpants and Uggs.
ReplyDeleteLil Margie if I ever do you can lock me in the loony bin and throw away the key, perhaps into Mordor. When I see people out in their pajamas my eyes burn!
DeleteI love the idea of wearing PJs, but can't sleep in them or anything else. I can, however, sleep in any light.
ReplyDeleteJW, this is a skill I wish I had. If I forget my eye mask when I go away I'm up all night.
DeleteLove these sets and own several similar. Anthropologie does some cute lounge-y pants for jammies. I'm currently enjoying some turquoise/coral ones (with a horse print that looks like those Swedish horses) my mom bought me for Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteHi sparrows, those sound really fetching, what a colour combination!
DeleteI have never ever in my entire life (60 years) worn Pjs --not even as a child. I'm a nightgown woman through and through. I wonder if there is anyone else who doesn't wear Pjs. I do think these are cute Pjs!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, I think nightgowns are so elegant.
DeleteI have several nightgowns...
ReplyDeletepj's are a tough fit for me because of my shape and height.
I'd love a silk pair of men's style ones though and if ever I won the lottery I'd have some made in several soft shades...pink, grey, ecru...
I've seen Bedhead pajamas here in town and they are so cozy to the touch that I imagine sleeping in them would make for a wonderfully restful slumber. Sweet dreams Dani!
Hi Hostess, I can see you in those silk men's pajamas!
DeleteHAPPY ZZZZZs I miss flying BA biz class (strictly for work) because they used to have the best eyemasks circa 2004, I think from Moulton Brown. I am still hoarding a couple in their wrappers because they fit my odd noggin and nose just right, blocking out all light, silky but don't slide with an adjustable band. I wanted a pair of the JC Liberty PJs as my gift to self this year, but too pricey. The character Robin, on "How I Met Your Mother", a Canadian actress and on-screen character (Cobie Smulders) wears your cousin's cutie PJs on TV regularly. And I bet the Bobster would give you a hard time for paying full retail ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi GF, well he would but that's why I shopped the sale, oh the Bobster! I've not seen that show but I've heard it's funny, now I'll try to watch it for pj sightings.
DeleteBA biz class sounds really wonderful but for work, maybe not so much?
Love these Dani! I have never slept in an eye mask! Afraid I would miss something! I know, I know, that is the whole point, right? U=I love bedhead pjs and do not currently have a pair. Well I have Pjs....oh never mind...
ReplyDeleteWhat I want are soft silk pjs in a luscious sky blue colour, soft as a whisper, with a matching cashmere robe. I do not know if such things exist in this world, but while Tabs' heroes are Nick Nolte and Hugh Hefner, my bed times muses are Nick and Nora from the Thin Man. I have the boxed set, and while I adore the witty repartee, I am really looking at the furnishings and the clothing! I think they deserve a post - will try and get that in soon!
Off to see sale, but promise to be good! if you had stock Dani, I would buy for sure!
WMM like the sound of your dreamy jammies very much!
DeleteCoincidentally, I ordered 4 long flannel nightgowns from The Vermont Company early this morning. They're by Lanz of Salzburg, which I wore as a teenager. I have a few pairs of Bedhead PJs and I love them, but thought the nightgowns would be more elegant with the Brora blanket I keep wrapped around me as well. I sleep with ear plugs, maybe should try an eye mask as well to complete the totally sexy package.
ReplyDeleteHa! And I wonder - has David given the OK for flannel sleepwear, Kathy? I need to know!
DeleteYes he has! Remember he wanted a pair for himself and he loves them.
DeleteOh I see - he just wanted a few spares to shimmy into when his own were being laundered! Sneaky, I'm impressed!Ha!
DeleteKathy I also wear earplugs, yup the glamour never ends around here!
DeleteI like the PJs, Dani. I am a huge fan of PJs in general.I also wear an eye mask - I need the bedroom to be in total lockdown before I can nod off. I occasionally wear earplugs too, but worry that the house will collapse around me if I'm blind AND deaf! My paranoia knows no bounds.
ReplyDeleteHave that same paranoia.
DeleteSulky and Kathy, I am paranoid as well but we live in an urban area, I can't sleep without earplugs. The drunken hooligans still occasionally wake me up when the bars let out, it's like Deadwood around here!
DeleteJust ordered the red and ivory Eiffel Tower Pjs and the Cameo sleep mask. I'm up for good at about 4am these days and maybe this will help.
ReplyDeleteKathy, 4am that's the pits. I'm not sleeping well either but I'm so tired, maybe cozy things will help. Love the red and ivory Eiffel tower set as well. We'll be twins in our cameo sleep masks!
DeleteAnother group photo op. All of us in our flannel PJs, sleep masks and earplugs. A new pin up calendar!
DeleteCute PJs Dani! I love to wear silk PJs and always have a matching robe to go over them. I rarely wear nightgowns, even though I do own a couple of them. I have never tried the Bedhead line, but may give them a try after reading so many positive reviews from you and the other ladies here. That Eiffel Tower pair is adorable! What size do you usually order for yourself?
ReplyDeleteHi FFM, I order the S, not the XS. I ordered the XS for my daughter.
DeleteSilk pj's with a matching robe, that sounds lovely.
Hi Dani, love those pjs, especially the Eiffel Tower ones. I wear jammies, and I also have one nightdress, but that's for summer. I would definitely consider this website for my next purchase - as FFM said, so many positive reviews!
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia, me too I wear short nightgowns in the summer but winter calls for something serious!
DeleteI sleep with pj bottoms and a tank in winter, I cannot abide sleeves when I'm sleeping. I wonder if they sell the bottoms alone. I could do with a pair of leopard, my favorite print.
ReplyDeleteHi DesertFlower, I'm not sure if they do, I have a feeling they sell sets. The lounge pieces in light cotton might work for you, I'll review mine when they arrive!
DeleteI have Bedhead pajamas and I love them. They are soft and comfy. I alsways sleep in pajamas in the winter but once it gets warmer I switch to slip type nightgown or I get sweaty. I also will not fall asleep with the light on but the eye masks bother me and make me claustrophobic.
ReplyDeleteI will check the Bedhead sale, thanks for the tip!
Hi ajc, they just get better with washing too, don't they! I have some LLBean flannel and it's been very disappointing, it gets scratchier.
DeleteWhat a coincidence! I just bought a pair of Bedheads, as in 15 minutes ago:). I sleep in nothing, but I LOVE to put on a pair of flannel pyjama bottoms when I come home after work. I can't wait to try this Songbird pair. So happy to know I am also helping one of the Mop Crowd!
ReplyDeleteHi LPC, that is a coincidence! I can understand getting into pajamas after a long day at the office, MrBP does this sometimes as well. pj's and a scotch seem a recipe for relaxation!
DeleteThese pyjama sets are adorable!! I am also completely dependent on my eye mask, it's the only way I can get some quality sleep.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried Bedhead so will definitely check them out. Thank you for the recommendation. I do wear flannel pajamas in the winter and often swap out the top for a thick cotton jersey turtleneck because my neck gets cold even with the duvet pulled up to my ears. (I wonder if I will ever be warm during the Canadian winters. Probably not.)
ReplyDeleteI could fall asleep almost anywhere as long as I'm safe so no sleep mask needed but we always have total darkness at home. I think it's best.
I guess I'm late to the pajama party here. I've never bought Bedhead but I will have a look at their website. I've always had great luck with Garnet Hill (big clearance sale going on). They use a very thick German flannel and I have purchased their pajamas and sheets for years. Warm, soft, cozy and durable. (They also carry Eileen Fisher and I got a duvet cover on super sale)
ReplyDeleteGreat job! anyone can look good in one of these outfits, but putting them together is what takes talent.
