| The Time Is Now bon shopper, Kate Spade. |
As part of Kate Spade's new collection, which speaks to resort and early spring, city holidays and maybe boarding a ship of some sort, clock images weigh heavily: graphic, yet classic.

How about the outfits?
I like these loafers, they'd be perfect for trotting through the airport.
This dress is attractive for the very subtle color-blocking, I do think the self-fabric tie would be problematic however.
Feeling a little nautical?
You have a choice: sweater or sweater dress.
I like that Kate Spade consistently does this full-skirted silhouette, a particular favorite of mine:

Those loafers?
ReplyDeleteYes please!
Eleanor, I know they're cute aren't they!
DeleteHave a wonderful time, Dani. A day trip like that sounds like the ideal thing this time of year. I'm betting the city looks very festive!
ReplyDeleteDesertFlower it was a great time! It's fun to just walk around the city and take in the atmosphere.
DeleteLove the loafers! I have a similar pair from J.Crew...wish they would offer them again, too. I would definitely stock up on them this time around.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have a wonderful day planned! Have fun and enjoy all the beautiful and festive sights! :)
Hi FFM we had a lovely time, my daughter really had fun too, she said it was much better than being in school. ;)
DeleteOooo I think that necklace is adorable! Great take on a simple necklace :)
ReplyDeleteTasia
Tasia, I like it too. I don't wear things like that but I think it is clever!
DeleteTICK TOCK Yes to the loafers and the sweater, the necklace is also fun. And so glad someone is still doing proper frocks for you. Wouldn't be DBP without the summer dress collection.
ReplyDeleteGetFresh, Must control myself re summer dresses: it's a disorder!
Deletei love a clock face! Especially with roman numerals.
ReplyDeleteLoved your red post yesterday. I picked up red cafe trousers from the Gap and wore them yesterday!
Have a great time in the Big City!
Hi Dannie, thanks it was fun! I've been looking at all kinds of watches lately and I can't find anything I like. That isn't made by Hermes $$$
DeleteNothing like city lights at the holidays. I'll be up in our little city tonight at an event--then starts the near daily events. We're doing an open house next weekend and, yes ,there will be lobster! Have fun today. I like that printed dress but full skirts are not usually my friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Lane, well you know me I don't do well with straight skirts. I hope you had fun at your event. Lobster sounds so festive if I lived near you I'd be crashing your party!
DeleteI like those time pieces and the loafers, but I am not drawn to the clothing items. I should try on a Kate Spade dress some day just for kicks, because I love the prints she does that full skirted dress in, but I can tell it won't suit my body type or my style. They are always fun to look at, though. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteCate I like her collections, they are always fun and I like that they are thematic!
DeleteClocks as a theme for holiday? That just seems wrong to me. The clothes have a bit of a 60's vibe and I'm not feeling it but I think we are now in a phase of fashion that will not appeal to me anyway. I've yet to see a spring preview that generated any excitement at all. Or maybe I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I've become Mrs. Cranky Pants overnight.
ReplyDeletexoxo I am also not enjoying much of the 60's graphics and straight styles I am seeing for spring. Don't worry about being cranky, some of my favorite people are grumptastic!
DeleteHave fun today-I love holiday window shopping in the City. Nothing from KS looks appealing to me this time around. I'm looking forward to their new line next year. Have you heard or read about it? http://www.luckymag.com/blogs/luckyrightnow/2012/10/Kate-Spade-New-Lower-Priced-Saturday-Brand-Heres-the-Scoop#slide=1
ReplyDeleteHi Julie, I know and I've been dreading it. I don't know why but I'm afraid I am not going to like the direction of KS this year. So I was happy to see a couple of things I found interesting in this roll-out.
DeleteHave fun Dani! I love Christmas shopping!!! And I think that dress is your colour story! Go for it!
ReplyDeleteWMM you know me well, that's my color story all the way!
DeleteI did most of my Xmas shopping online... I love more straight dresses or skirts because of my frame... I took my afternoon and tomorrow off just to do my Xmas biscuits! It is a very important time for me. Enjoy your day Dani!
ReplyDeleteHi Steph, I hope your baking went well!
DeleteWhat a fun day! I hope you had a wonderful time Dani! Love those loafers. I just received a package from KS, which included my new favorite bracelet (and soon to be gift for mom and sister), the Glass Half Full (look on the bright side) idiom bracelet. It's so cute and cheerful and nice to have as a little reminder. :)
ReplyDeleteHi M, yes sometimes we all need to remember Glass Half Full! Love that.
DeleteI just got a small box of Kate Spade goodies from the Black Friday weekend sale: the same leopard dress you have, a shirt and the Great Expectations clutch. We've just barely cooled down enough so it doesn't feel like summer anymore so I can't bare to think springtime fashions yet.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your day with your good friend.
Hi Tiffany, that box sounds lovely. That was a great sale!
DeleteBeautiful picks. A bon shopper in the perfect print/theme will one day be mine. Those clocks are cute, but not the one. I hope your day was lovely. It's always nice to have something fun to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteGigi, those shoppers seem like good shapes for running errands etc.
DeleteIt is good to do something a little different and just catch up with a friend, we had a great time!
I'm not particularly fond of anything in this collection. It seems very young as well, but not in a good way.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a fun day in Toronto with your friend.
Love the title - nice nod to Les Miserables which I can't wait to see.
DeleteHi Kathy, I've definitely seen better things from KS, I've liked that the line is a little different and yet I think they are aiming their demographic down, especially with the focus on their new "saturday" line.
DeleteIt was a fun day thank you!
I'm puzzled by why clocks now, too. I've seen clocks as New Year's decorations, but clock-wear? Oh, well, what do I know.
ReplyDeleteFred, I think this range is intended as New Year wear. Their November roll-out was jewels and green and red and more jewels, this seems very subdued and serious, very time-for-resolutions!
DeleteThat pendant is genius. So clever and fun.
