Happy Valentine's Day! I'm going to pull on this black velvet dress from Brora before I walk over to meet MrBP for dinner this evening. Are you celebrating with your honey, your children, some friends?
Whatever you do, have fun and may love put a spring in your step.

Oh you have made my day! Off for a cappuccino this am then I will make something yummy for supper- saving the eating out for NYC and all the food food there!
ReplyDeleteI love these images!
Wendy yes save the eating out for NYC, good move!
DeleteNo, normal day here. Enjoy your day with your sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteBut Tabs I thought you were having Pepe round for cocktails?
DeleteNO bog plans today- too many sporting events! Dinner this weekend, but sadly no velvet frock. I love good velvet , and cherish the few very dressy pieces I have.Enjoy your Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteSorry- No big plans today. I hit publish too quickly!
DeleteKnityarns, I also love a nice silk velvet, this Brora dress is really plush and warm. Good thing as it is freezing here!
DeleteWe are headed to Chattanooga, TN (a bit over an hours drive) to dine with my brother in law and his wife at Riverside Deli. That's how we roll here. Romantic night with kin at a deli. Actually the guy does two or three "special" meals a year and hubby's brother swears by it.

Blue Booby I know Chattanooga quite well, we stop there on our way back and forth to Georgia to see my family. I love that whole area, you are going to have a great time! And thanks for the link.
DeleteNo plans here because of my bronchitis. I hope you have a very special Valentine's Day with Mr. BP and please take a photo of that Brora dress on you, it's very romantic. xo
ReplyDeleteKathy I hope you are at least getting better. Maybe a small wee brandy? That was my Grandpa's cure for bronchitis: burn it outta ya!
DeleteI have to say there is something in it.
I am getting better, but of course more slowly than I'd like. Your Grandpa was right, and I have been having a nip every night.
DeleteDo take care...mine turned into pneumonia.
DeleteHope that your sweetheart makes you something soothing for dinner!
DAY OF WINE & ROSES Gorgeous flower Dani, but you had me at profiteroles. Agree, do share more of Downton made me do it dresss! xo
ReplyDeleteGF so glad Downton made me do it. I sized up in this frock too and I'm glad I did, there will be no dieting this evening.
DeleteIs there anything more delicious than profiteroles, they may be the perfect treat.
Happy Valentine's Day, Dani. I hope that you have a nice dinner out. If you carry your new bag, maybe you can sneak a photo :)
ReplyDeleteNo big plans here as my husband is away for work and returning late tonight. He has something up his sleeve, though, I'm actually super excited to find out what!
Abby I'll be carrying my new bag like the good friend it has become. I have some photos already with a couple of outfits, I'll share tomorrow.
DeleteOh I wonder what it is. I hope he doesn't get back too late so that you can have some of the day together!
No plans here,as my husband is in the US for work.
ReplyDeleteI probably make something yummy for my girls and we watch a movie:)
Enjoy your dinner!
Happy Valentine's Day, Dani. My hubby woke up with the upset stomach that Slugger had earlier this week, so I think I will be making him chicken soup and watching Scandal (the best show ever). I usually make a heart shaped pizza for the boys, which they love.
ReplyDeleteDani ,Love the photos! Staying in tonite, cooking dinner for hubs and children. I think I will pick up some legal seafood chowder for starters,it's cold here! and since seeing those profiteroles I can't get them off my mind so ill make those for desert !! ThanksDani!!! Have a wonderful evening. Love is in the air!!!
ReplyDeleteYou'll look lovely and dinner out with your man sounds like a lovely way to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteWe're going out for a casual dinner at our favorite Mexican Food place--no reservations required. It's always our favorite place to go--no matter the occasion.
ReplyDeleteHi Dani, enjoy your romantic dinner with Mr BP. We've got to see you in that gorgeous little velvet number.
ReplyDeleteHave a delightful, romantic day Dani.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day Dani. Have a wonderful dinner with Mr.BP . O.k. where did you go in Paris for that desert? I could inhale that ... who cares about the main course.
ReplyDeleteWe're in tonight and I made a Sheppard's Pie and chocolate cake. It's grey and we had touch of rain earlier so I'll put the fire on .
Hey Marsha, it's in DBP's drool-worthy caption but I am steal sharing because I luff it and another pic of their profiteroles is in the site header. http://www.pieddecochon.com/
DeleteJust stopping by while scrolling to say my DH would adore your Valentine menu. Although technically he would say you likely mean cottage pie. In the UK and particularly Wales (his original stomp) shepherd's is made with minced lamb.
Thanks GetFresh I like the sound of cottage pie. I use a combo of minced lamb and beef. Do you live in Toronto?
DeleteMarsha, that's a smart idea for flavour, texture. And yes, T.O.
DeleteHi Dani, I hope you enjoy your dinner out with Mr. BP. My husband has taken today and tomorrow off work and we are just spending time together.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I was reading another blog yesterday and came across this link to a recipe for a St. Germain cocktail. Thought you might like to see it!

Hi Dani, Happy Valentines's Day! I hope you and your husband have a wonderful evening out. We just had a takeout dinner (no dishes to wash, yay!) and are hanging out at home.
ReplyDeleteHi Dani-I hope your tete a tete with Mr BP was sparky. Please let us see pictures of you glowing in your silk velvet. No doin's here, but tomorrow afternoon we are driving up to Louisville, going to dinner and then to the opera. I hope all of y'all had wonderful Valentine's Days.
ReplyDeleteWe spent the afternoon at the art museum after MLane had meetings and I volunteered at the shelter; unfortunately , I neglected to bring up any change of clothes so went to our nice dinner( without apron) in dark grey tweed pants, Liberty Wiltshire shirt and brocade blue tippi. I was surrounded by pretty dresses; ML did not mind.
ReplyDeleteAfter a few disasters (seated next to a couple where she didn't get the proposal she expected, he got drunk, she threw her chocolate mousse and missed him, I got spattered), we stay home on Valentine's night. However, last night, we had an old-fashioned pizza and red wine dinner out. We'll have a few more special meals out next week and the week after. No complaints.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're keeping the long pantsuit, it's a great choice. And I'm distressed about the Chanel skirt, but I hope you're saving it to cannabilize in case of emergency jacket repairs, at least the fabric and the lining will match.
