I'll go over to her blog now. I do remember her, and that she likes a very similar color palette to mine. Are you under the weather? I'm home with horrible bronchitis.
ReplyDeleteKathy, feel better fast! Dani, love your regiment all standing at attention for Miller Time. And bravo to Berna for blogging. As you know I think brave and dedicated. And lucky her for having your packing prowess "right next door."
DeleteThanks GF! Yes, bloggers are brave and dedicated ~ totally agree.
DeleteKathy all fine here, just my usual schlepping around, but you with bronchitis! No that's terrible! I've had that a few times, the last time I had it I had to go to hospital and I cried like a baby the whole time. I hope you are seriously resting and getting better, if you try to get up and about too quickly you will not get well.
DeleteRest up buttercup, do you have someone to look after you?
It's my first time having it, and it's really beyond horrible. I'm not surprised that you cried, although I'm more of a whiner. All I do is stay in bed and sleep - on and off. My husband has been home and doing a good job of looking after me, thanks.
DeleteKathy I'm so glad David is there to look after you, tell him he can't go back to work until you are well. I hope he can make vegetable soup and other boring stuff that will make you get better fast. I have never felt worse than when I had the bronchitis and good for you for not crying. Also stay warm and layer on the Brora this will be its shining moment!
DeleteDazzled by the St Germain bottle, I've never tasted it before.
ReplyDeleteTabs do you like Pimms? If so I think you would be in (to contents as well as packaging.) It's having a bit of a revival this side of pond as part of signature wedding and summer cocktails (for all those who oooh and ah over Paris because it is distant.)
DeleteTabs I haven't either. I bought it before Christmas and still haven't opened it!
DeleteSt Germaine is having a moment....I see it on the cocktail menu everywhere. I just tried a rose sangria with berries and St Germaine. It was so good I ordered it 3 days in a row for lunch and cocktail hour! I'll definitely try to replicate it at home!
DeleteHi Dani - I was just over there, I think I'm going to enjoy this blog!
ReplyDeletePatricia I think you will she is very funny!
DeleteThat St Germain is a gorgeous bottle - even if I don't like the taste, I want it!
ReplyDeleteSulky not going to lie I bought it for the bottle, but see you would have too!
DeleteHi Dani, thank you for introducing us to your friend! I don't "follow" blogs, I just read them - what happens when one follows? I like to just bookmark things as it is the easiest.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you are feeling better soon!
That's a lovely vignette of your bar. I'm personally avoiding booze for the moment, as a health experiment, but I can still appreciate a bottle's good looks.
Hi Abby, it's good to go off booze for a time. I did that last year for a couple of months and it was great, I've never gone back to drinking red wine at all and have certainly cut back overall since then.
DeleteI just realized why everyone thinks I'm sick, because I said in my post that even if I am unwell and in jammies Berna is always welcome to do the pop-in! Yes she's the only one who gets away with that, and it has happened!
If you go to Berna's blog there is a sidebar of followers, you can "follow this site" and you will get updates on your blogger roll, it's an easy way to follow blogs. And when a blogger first begins it is encouraging to see followers. I think most readers just bookmark their favourite blogs, that's how most of my hits come in.
Hi Dani-Are you under the weather? If so, put on the pot for some chamomile tea, it is the best for a number of ills. After all, Mrs Rabbit says so. Not familiar with St Germain, the bottle is lovely-what is its position in the alcohol universe? I visited B Lovely's blog, thank you for the recommendation.
ReplyDeleteDavid I'm so glad you visited. No I'm fine! Though that tea sounds nice anyway, it is a dreary cold day here indeed. I don't know what that stuff would taste like, I'll probably never try it, I just like the bottle! So french looking isn't it!
DeleteSt Germain is an excellent mixer and adds a gorgeous hint of floral to everything. Toss a tablespoon in a glass of champagne. Use in place of sugar or simple syrup in a gimlet. Mix with grapefruit juice and champagne for a bright aperitif. Make The Gypsy: 1 1/2 Gin, 3/4 St Germain, 1/2 Green Chartreuse, 1/2 Lime juice, and shake your tambourine.
DeleteDani! Yay for Berna, I have gone to pay respects and become a follower - how great she has joined you online!
ReplyDeleteWMM yes now everyone can enjoy her hilarious doyoumind takes on life. Thanks for popping over there.
Deletethank you for your kind comment today dani. and don't feel bad for missing my post. i'm So Behind on blogs right now i'm about ready to have an anxiety attack. i'm thrilled that your dear friend has started her own blog. i'll pop over and say hello. xo
ReplyDeleteJanet I've been wondering about you and that goes to show I should check up on friends when I feel that way! Please don't have an anxiety attack that's the last thing you need. I hope your week goes as well as it can, I'll be thinking of you. Thanks for popping over to Berna's she'll appreciate it.
