Mop Philosophy Monday

You'll remember my love affair for shades of apricot and yellow, very cozy, warm and pretty...
well I've been busy painting everything in my house, including the ceilings.  It's a pain in the neck, quite literally.
New colour on the left, "Richmond Gold" Benjamin Moore Historical Colours.
I painted the ceilings a pale apricot colour, the effect is quite nice.
I was inspired by the interiors at the Fairmont Empress... but pretty happy that I don't have to do the dusting.
I love these old plant stands.

Imagine painting these ceilings and not making a mess of those beams... imagine polishing all of this wood:

We take our inspiration and apply it to our own homes in small ways, isn't that the idea behind doing a bit of decorating and organizing right after a holiday?
Tuscan Shelf Brackets from Lee Valley.
I ordered these shelf brackets from Lee Valley Hardware.   I'm trying to organize a downstairs pantry area in my house to store rarely used kitchen items and holiday decorations.

Everything seems slow-going these days, I find it difficult to get bigger projects done around the house while keeping up with all of the daily messes of life.  How do you get bigger jobs done, do you blitz it?  Peck away slow but sure?  Delegate?
I hope your week is off to a productive start and if so send those Productivity Fairies my way!
