Brora Secret Santa

Brora did something unexpected, generous and fun this season with a group of bloggers: a Brora Secret Santa.  It's been so easy because they did all of the gifting for us, we've just had the delight of choosing a secret surprise!  I was able to choose a gift for another blogger and then last week I had a delivery pop up one afternoon in my most favourite box in the world:
The thing is I think my Secret Santa was the real deal, as in the Real Santa because he or she clearly had an inkling as to my perfect gift.
It all began a couple of weeks ago when I had an email from my friend A, who lives in New York State.  Like me she is a massive fan of Brora and we have both collected Brora cashmere over the years... and we've sometimes made a select trade with each other as we are the same size.  A suggested we trade again, so we mailed off packages to one another and I was so excited when mine arrived for a particular reason: one of the jumpers she sent me was the missing link to completing an outfit I've been trying to put together for years.  The outfit involves an exquisite JCrew tweed skirt with a velvet ribbon attached to the waist, it's so pretty and warm but I've never had the perfect jumper to wear with it... until now.
You can see how lovely the plum-coloured Brora cashmere is:

The outfit is complete with my Secret Santa gift.
Then my Secret Santa came along and truly completed the outfit with this gift of burgundy cashmere tights!
How did Secret Santa know?!
Brora cashmere tights are so beautiful and warm they make winter something to look forward to.  I've never had a pair in this wonderful colour and I adore them.  Thank you to my Brora Secret Santa, and thank you lovely Brora people for organizing such a fun and generous event for bloggers.

This fun surprise has had me thinking about winter clothes again even if our weather is not winter-like in the slightest.  I'm still working on a winter colour story for Frock Philosophy and I'll post it up as soon as it's ready.
Be well and stay out of mischief,
