Those Bon Maman jars are super charming, I love them too. Thanks for your easy pasta recipe, that sounds delicious. We still occasionally have anchovies so I'm going to try that. Bring on the carbs, pasta etc and tonight I'm cooking grits, so good.
So funny about the fruit and kind of confirms what I've suspected. I think it's good to avoid generally because of the blood sugar spike. Creating a sugar craving, not good.
If you don't deal well with beans and nuts going veg will be very difficult. I wonder if non-gmo organic soy is lower in histamine ? So much to wade through hey. xxDaniBPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02633155240779845497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3818151513249030194.post-78595885050891992202018-02-04T04:48:16.801-05:002018-02-04T04:48:16.801-05:00tomatoes are my favourite and of course they are c...tomatoes are my favourite and of course they are choc full!!!! i love a nightshade. interesting bc at mayr they dont do fruit - in fact there is none. having said that i have done fruit only fasts and they work well and i felt great energy but then we all have different fructose factors but they said fruit rarely naturally rises so the fructose is not natural fructose. but it isn't easy to eat naturally ripened fruit that has fallen off the tree!!!! may main thing is to control histamine bc to be honest i can't deal with beans and nuts. it is really tough. and lately i am eating like a marathon runner even though i am sitting on my ass. but good to know you are tweaking and figuring out and going by your own way of being aware which is the most important thing!! xxCoulda shoulda wouldahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12507021618497645667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3818151513249030194.post-33512593284725059852018-02-04T03:05:13.036-05:002018-02-04T03:05:13.036-05:00Delicious pasta, and the kale looks just right wit...Delicious pasta, and the kale looks just right with it. I have concern for my hubs because he has anaphylactic reactions to seafood, very severe and dangerous, and he is also allergic to eggplant, avocado and soy of any kind. Tomatoes he seems to tolerate no problem, and I would say that since adopting a vegan diet we've definitely been healthier overall with less "weird" symptoms. Meat was making my hubs very sick, and dairy was making me very ill, and I am strictly no dairy now but if my hubs has some cheese or ice cream he will snore and be extremely stuffed up, clearly a reaction.
On a histamine restricted diet meat, poultry, fish, milk and dairy products seem to be the biggest no-no's (fermented), and the fruits on this diet are ones we don't really consume. Actually a strange thing is since going vegan we eat much less fruit, maybe a little frozen mango or dark cherries in our protein smoothies but that's it. Citrus is a no on the histamine restricted diet, as well as food additives, which we're not consuming because I am doing all of the cooking.
I think you could go more veggie if you don't consume soy, watch the preservatives, avoid eggplant and possibly avocado, and maybe watch your tomato consumption. Beans and nuts have to be consumed on a vegan/veg diet though or you will starve! It's interesting, lots of people have a histamine thing too but don't realize it, oh and red wine is a big offender, I know people who take an antihistamine every time they drink red wine.
Anyway, long story short I would say overall we are having far less allergic type reactions or symptoms. And you're right it is complicated! We all react differently and then to throw a further wrench in it women react differently depending on where they are in their cycle... geesh it seems nearly impossible to figure it out! xxDaniBPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02633155240779845497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3818151513249030194.post-47177138139023260232018-02-03T14:48:09.318-05:002018-02-03T14:48:09.318-05:00SD what a charming bank drive-through you have, th...SD what a charming bank drive-through you have, that's so cute! Try your Costco, these San Marzano tomatoes are so delicious, and diced tomatoes are always a major bonus for me, one more step I can skip when I'm cooking :). A trip by the tailor, the cartridge store to recycle some printer cartridges, and the gas station to fill up for the next 2 weeks. The highlight will be the bank drive through. I take the little dog who not only gets a car ride, but also receives a biscuit from the teller. It's the best thing ever in his opinion!

Enjoy your Saturday, Dani.SunnyDayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06398034412926361235noreply@blogger.com
