Red, White and Blue

Fourth of July Outfit
I'm just leaving on a wee trip to meet up with my family who are driving up from Georgia.  It's that special week... the Fourth of July and the Bobster (Dad) always takes this week off to celebrate it properly.  Yesterday they were in Gettysburg, I can't wait to hear all about it.

I hope you have a great week and that you have an excellent Fourth of July!

I'll be bringing a red, white and blue colour story along for the trip... of course.
Silk Frances dress JCrew 2012.
Be good and have fun!

What do you wear as a swim coverup
I am "of a certain age" but still have a good figure
What do you or your readers suggest?

    1. OWN1 Have you tried a thin cotton wrap sundress (the dress version of swim robe)? I used to like linen tunics, but now prefer something with a bit more length and shape, personally.

  4. BORDER TOWN Dani, so excited for you, I did not realise the Bobster was on his way up. As you know, love that jacket and what a fab match with the JC dress. Happy red, white and blue week to you. Know you'll enjoy the change of scenery and family re-group!

  5. I hope it's not too hot to wear that lovely outfit where you are going. I'm going to wear vintage red Current/Elliott cropped pants and a navy and white striped T for the festivities. Enjoy your Dad, too.

  6. Love that dress Dani! Enjoy the holiday with your family! I'll be keeping it very casual this year, going to a parade and watching some local fireworks on the grass!

  8. Happy 4th of July to you and your family! Your outfit is perfect for the occasion. I love the lifesaver print, I wish they had made more items out of that one.

  9. Lovely dress. I thought about you as I strolled through J Crew today. They hit the ball out of the park with the dress you are wearing here. Have a great 4th of July. We are going to our town's (small town within the city of Dallas) 4th of July parade and taking our new pup!

  10. The dress is stunning, especially with the coat, although it is certainly too hot for the coat here. Enjoy your fourth!

  13. Hi Dani,
Just checking in to see if the Fulton umbrella is in use. Matt called last night and said the Globe lost power and it was quite a storm. Hopefully it skipped your area.

    1. Marsha the flash floods were pretty bad on many highways and MrBP was travelling but made it home fine. We live on high ground in our city so no water in the basements, and even Old Rascal who lives in a basement apartment in Toronto, was fine, and he made it home from work before it started.
He's working on a construction site though and I bet it's muddy there today!
My older daughter had her wisdom teeth out this morning and is having a rough time, I might be away from the blog for a couple of days. Thanks for checking in. :)
