We finally got out for a big cross country ski yesterday and it was so invigorating. The thing about cross country skiing is that it's such good exercise it's easy to warm up fast, we forget that we're freezing to death and we just enjoy the snow and the forest!
Our route took us through open fields and in and out of forests.
I really love skiing into a forest after being out in a flat, open field. It feels like entering a majestic treed house.
In the forest.
That's MrBP up ahead.
I find old farm implements so beautiful, especially when they're covered with a fresh, heavy snow.
Our ski ended after a swoosh through a cedar forest with some beautiful, giant trees, all hanging heavy with snow. We thought they rather looked like Ents!
Have a really lovely Sunday,
